Ye Grapes Public House

Ye Grapes was established in the heart of Shepherd Market in 1742 as the ‘Market Coffee House’ and was renamed ‘the Grapes’ in 1782, then the ‘Bunch of Grapes’ in 1827 followed by ‘Sun Court’.
It was rebuilt in its present form in 1882.

hepherd Market is a charming small square and piazza developed in 1735-46 by Edward Shepherd. In the 1920’s it was considered to be most fashionable and opulent by the city’s bourgeois social elite. Many locals describe Shepherd Market as the heart of Mayfair, it is a truly unique and fascinating part of London that must be seen.
