The Salisbury, built in 1899, is famous for its late Victorian interior dripping in art nouveau and that night when Liz Taylor got engaged to Richard Burton, again. Everyone from Oscar Wilde to Marianne Faithful have mingled & partied amongst our bronze nymphs’ lampshades.
