    In 2009 Guy Awford and Jon Hallett, owners of the hugely popular Inside Restaurant, took over The Guildford Arms. Jon has lovingly, and painstakingly, transformed the space. On the ground floor he has created a light and modern bar and a dining area that overlooks the sunken garden.

    The basement dining area, which opens out into the garden terrace, is home to our open-plan kitchen, where you can see our chefs in action.

    Our seasonal dishes, created by Guy, showcase natural, fresh food, cooked with induction or over charcoal – the oldest and newest methods of cooking; fire and magnets.

    For Guy it’s all about creating simple dishes that allow the food to taste of itself. He only uses suppliers dedicated to high welfare farming, low impact fishing and is committed to offering a large selection of plant-based dishes.
