The Mitre Richmond
About Company
Our philosophy at The Mitre is simple. We’re a traditional ale and cider house in a classic West London boozer tucked away in a charming residential quarter of Richmond. Originally built by the church as a coach house back in 1865, our little place on the corner of St Mary’s Grove has been serving Richmond for over 150 years. We have heaps of London heritage, a warm, friendly vibe, not to mention a lovely little beer garden out the back.
So come on in, settle down in one of our leather Chesterfields or wingback chairs and relax to some sweet, sweet tunes while we pour you a perfect pint of craft ale.
You might even meet Rudi, the house hound, and officially the cutest pub dog in Britain. (Just don’t let him talk you into buying him a packet of scratchings…)
At The Mitre, beer is our passion, our life force and the reason we get up in the morning.
So naturally, we have an impressive selection of ales, lagers, stouts and ciders available for your discerning pleasure. We try to change them every week, but if you have a favourite ale. Lets us know and we’ll try our best to get it on the pump for you
Our beer garden is a gorgeous little sun-trap in the summertime with plenty of tables, a small stage and an outdoor screen. You know, just in case the football or tennis is on
On Sunday afternoons, pop in for a cool pint and see our brilliant live music sets from 5pm – 7pm every week, all handpicked from our Rolodex of great local musicians
In winter, our saloon bar is cosier than a pixie’s pocket. We’ve got a brace of real fires, a stack of boardgames and someone, somewhere is spinning some great tunes on our decks. So come in, hunker down and take a load off.
Welcome to The Mitre of Richmond, possibly the greatest small pub in the world.
